Hubert Baumgartner (born February 25, 1955 in Wolfsberg, Carinthia) is a former Austrian soccer player and later coach. The goalkeeper became Austrian champions three times with Wiener Austria . He also played for the Austrian national football team.

Career
changeHubert Baumgartner began his career at SV Bad St. Leonhard, a club in Carinthia. Then he moved to the Bundesliga team Donawitzer SV Alpine in 1973. 1974 he went to FK Austria Wien. With the team he he became Austrian champion three times in four years in 1976, 1978 and 1979.
1979 he went to Recreativo Huelva in Spain. This was followed by a return to the Austrian Bundesliga, where he stood in goal for FC Admira/Wacker for six seasons. In 1988, Hubert Baumgartner went to the Lower Austrian competitor VSE St. Pölten, with whom he was able to get promoted from the Second Division. Then he was so seriously injured in a collision with Christian Keglevits in a championship game that he had to end his career.
International
changeHubert Baumgartner was called up to the Austrian national team squad a total of 25 times. He was also in the sqad for the 1978 World Cup in Argentina. But he made only made one international appearance, on February 15, 1978 in a 1-1 draw against Greece. [1]
Manager
changeHe became assistant coach and from 1990 to 1993 as head coach to St. Pölten. Rapid (1993/94), again VSE St. Pölten (1995–1996) and FC Linz (1997) were the names of the other stations. In 2006 he accepted the position as general manager of Admira. There hehe was dismissed in March 2007.
