Jack Tynan

New Zealand cricketer (1925-2020)

John Christopher Tynan (5 December 1925 – 23 August 2020) was a New Zealand field hockey player and cricketer.[1] He represented New Zealand in field hockey between 1948 and 1956, including at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne.[2][3][4]

He played four first-class cricket matches for Wellington between 1952 and 1954.[5]

Tynan died on 23 August 2020, aged 94.[6]
