James C. Irwin

American admiral (1929-2018)

James Clarence Irwin (June 7, 1929 – March 21, 2018) was an American military personnel. He was a retired vice admiral in the United States Coast Guard. He was Vice Commandant from 1986 to 1988.[1] Irwin was born in Des Moines, Iowa.[2]

Irwin died on March 21, 2018 of Alzheimer's disease in Chandler, Arizona at the age of 88.[3]
