Janet Benshoof
American lawyer (1947-2017)
Janet Benshoof (May 10, 1947 – December 18, 2017) was an American human rights activist and lawyer. She was born in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. She was the President and Founder of the Global Justice Center.[1] She founded the Center for Reproductive Rights, the world's first international human rights organization focused on reproductive choice and equality.[2][3]
Benshoof died of uterine cancer on December 18, 2017 in Manhattan, New York at the age of 70.[4]
