John Campbell Brown
British astronomer (1947-2019)
John Campbell Brown OBE FRSE (4 February 1947 – 16 November 2019) was a Scottish astronomer. He worked in solar physics. He worked at Astronomer Royal for Scotland, Regius Professor of Astronomy at the University of Glasgow,[1] and honorary professor at both the University of Edinburgh and the University of Aberdeen.

He was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 1984.[2]
Brown died on 16 November 2019 at the age of 72.[3]
