Kerry Sibraa

trade unionist and politician, Senator for New South Wales, Australia (1937– )

Kerry Walter Sibraa AO (born 12 October 1937) is an Australian politician. He is a member of the Labor Party. He was a Senator for New South Wales from December 1975 to June 1978, and then again from August 1978 to February 1994. He also served as President of the Senate from 1987 to 1994. After leaving Parliament, Sibraa served as Australian High Commissioner to Zimbabwe from 1994 to 1998.

Sibraa was born in Sydney, New South Wales. He was married to Yvonne Margaret Melvin from 1957 to 1992. They had two children. In 1993, Sibraa married Julie Louise Hatcher.[1]
