The Konariotes were descendants of Turkish shepherds from Konya, who settled in Macedonia (region) around 1360 and called by the Greek as Konariotes. Big settlements were in Ptolemaida and Kozani. At the population exchange between Greece and Turkey, they went to Turkey.[1]
