1996 studio album by Metallica
Load is an album by the heavy metal band Metallica. It was released in 1996. Four singles were released from it. It has sold over 5 million copies in the US. The album was disliked by some long time Metallica fans, as it had a lighter sound than anything before it.

The band re-emerged with Load, a less metalish and more hard-rock album that downplayed the group's previous headbanging.
