Mariana Bridi Costa
Brazilian model (1988-2009)
Mariana Bridi Costa (18 June 1988 – 24 January 2009; also called Mari and Mariana Bridi da Costa) was a Brazilian fashion model. She began her career at age 14. She was in many competitions and fashion-related events.[1]
Costa became sick in December 2008. She was diagnosed in early January 2009 with a urinary tract infection. This quickly became septic. Her legs had to be amputated (cut off). Costa died on the evening of 24 January 2009 from septicemia and necrosis. She was aged 20.[2]
