Mohamed Al-Fayed (Egyptian Arabic: محمد شاكر عبد السيد الفايد‎; born Mohamed Fayed; 27 January 1929) is an Egyptian businessman. Fayed's business interests include ownership of Hôtel Ritz Paris and formerly Harrods. He sold Fulham Football Club to Shahid Khan in 2013.[1] His son Dodi died in a car crash in Paris with Diana, Princess of Wales in 1997.

Fayed was born in Roshdy, Alexandria. Dodi was the child from his first marriage to Samira Khashoggi from 1954 to 1956. He later married Finnish socialite and former model Heini Wathén in 1985. The couple have four children, including Omar.
