Roger Millward

English rugby league footballer and coach

Roger Millward MBE (16 September 1947 – 2 May 2016)[1] was an English rugby league footballer and coach. He was born in Castleford, West Riding of Yorkshire. Millward gained a high level of fame in the sport in England by playing for Hull Kingston Rovers and Castleford, as well as representing Great Britain. Millward was added into the Rugby League Hall of Fame.[2]

Millward was awarded the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 1983.[1]

Millward died of jaw cancer in Kippax, West Yorkshire on 2 May 2016, aged 68.
