Sayyid Mohammed Abdullah Hassan (7 April 1856 – 21 December 1920, also known as Sayyid Maxamed Cabdulle Xasan) was the emir of Diiriye Guure.[3] Diiriye Guure headed the successor state of the Dhulbahante garaadship. [4] Then, Diiriye Guure started the Dervish movement in Somalia and led the Khatumo region from 1896 until 1920.
