Suella Braverman
Sue-Ellen Cassiana "Suella" Braverman KC MP (née Fernandes; born 3 April 1980) is a British politician and lawyer. She has been the Home Secretary from 25 October 2022 until 13 November 2023. She was in the same role before under Liz Truss from 6 September to 14 October 2022. She was the Attorney General for England and Wales from 2020 to 2022. She has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Fareham since 2015.[1] She is a member of the Conservative Party.

In July 2022, Braverman announced her candidacy for Leader of the Conservative Party in the leadership election to replace Boris Johnson.[2] She was eliminated in the sound round of voting on 14 July 2022.[3]
Braverman resigned as Home Secretary on 19 October 2022. She said this was because she had made an "honest mistake" by sharing an official document from her personal email address with a colleague in Parliament.[4][5] In her resignation letter she criticized the leadership of Truss.[6] When Rishi Sunak replaced Truss as prime minister, he picked Braverman as Home Secretary again.
