Talk:Execution

Latest comment: 9 years ago by Macdonald-ross in topic Arrangement of sections

I think that title "Execution" is not correct. The article about legal execution and decribe some procedure that don't to be worldwide. Article have to detailed. --Himurakenshi 05:30, 17 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Arrangement of sections change

I don't think it works to have sections labelled "old-fashioned" yet including methods used in the 20th century. Macdonald-ross (talk) 13:45, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Then call the section "Obsolete methods" or something similar. Terming it obsolete would still allow exceptions. User:Rus793 (talk) 13:55, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

I don't know. I think crucifixion and burning at the stake (which is missing here) are obsolete. I wouldn't be too sure about the others... And what about stoning to death? We don't have that either. Being torn apart? That's another oldie. Why not ditch the subheads and just list in alphabetical order? Completeness on this topic would be quite an achievement. That would work too. Actually the article is missing quite a few methods (flaying, water wheel, brazen bull, necklacing, etc.). The article: List of methods of capital punishment seems to cover a considerable number. User:Rus793 (talk) 14:58, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I see. Macdonald-ross (talk) 16:44, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Return to "Execution" page.
