Question: Is a peanut a legume; and therefore, by definition, a fruit?

OK, I see now that the main topic page does have a reference to peanuts as legumes. So I am going to make the obvious connection here that peanuts are indeed, a member of the fruit family. I encourage anyone and everyone to correct me if i am wrong.
