Suggestion
changeWhat does everyone think of dividing the 100,000 section into two sections; namely 100,000 and 500,000, as there are several Wikipedias that have between 500,000 and 1 million articles? Lauryn Ashby (d) 21:31, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- I think it is a good idea. I already thought about this. -Barras talk 21:35, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- Do you know exactly how many of them would be in each section? Griffinofwales (talk) 21:41, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- (change conflict) If we decide to do it, as far as I can tell we would need to include the Spanish Wikipedia, which has 522,782, the Italian Wikipedia has 649,476, the Dutch Wikipedia has 582,679, the Japanese Wikipedia has 646,912, the Portuguese Wikipedia has 537,799 and the Polish Wikipedia has 668,283. Lauryn Ashby (d) 21:43, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- (change conflict) See here. There are the Wikipedias listed that fall in each section. 100,000+ will be bigger than 500,000+. -Barras talk 21:43, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- Also, the French Wikipedia has 901,977. Lauryn Ashby (d) 21:44, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- That's about 1/3 of the wikipedias. Will it really change much? Griffinofwales (talk) 21:50, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- Well, 500,000 articles is a nice milestone that should be recognised. It won't change the layout of the page much at all, but will acknowledge the hard work of editors on those particular projects while being more precise and informative. Lauryn Ashby (d) 21:51, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- Do you know exactly how many of them would be in each section? Griffinofwales (talk) 21:41, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- Done - now we've a 500,000 articles section. -Barras talk 16:19, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Automatic updating?
changeI'm just curious, is it possible and easier for a bot to automatically do the updating of the language counts? That looks like how they do it at meta:List_of_Wikipedias/Table. Zeniff (talk) 04:12, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
- I believe it is, not entirely sure though. George Edward C – Talk – Contributions 16:21, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you:) Zeniff (talk) 03:23, 23 June 2016 (UTC)

Update some languages
change{{edit protected}}
- Please remove Volapük (vo), as it has fewer than 100,000 articles.
- Move Persian (fa) to 1,000,000.
- Move Tatar (tt) to 500,000, and change the "tr" to "tt" on that row.
- Change the "ms" to "my" on the "my" row.
