Tunku Abdul Rahman

Former 1st Prime Minister of Malaysia (1903-1990)

Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah (Jawi: ‏تونكو عبد الرحمن ڤوترا الحاج ابن سلطان عبد الحميد حليم شاه ; DMN, DK, DUK, AC, CH, 8 February 1903 – 6 December 1990) was a Malaysian politician. He was the first Chief Minister of the Malaysia from 1955 to 1957, before becoming the country's first Prima Minister after independence in 1957. He resigned in 1970.
