Welcome change

Hello, Browne34, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will be happy helping here. You should begin by reading these pages: Wikipedia:Useful, Help:Contents, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines, and how to write Simple English articles. If you want some ideas of which pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.

Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, please be bold and try! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. We are also working most on core articles and the most common topics until this Wikipedia grows.

If you want to ask a question or talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Administrators on Wikipedia can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. You should always sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing! --Menasim( discuss |   ) 06:12, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Suggestion change

It happened... change

again! :_(

Weird... I didn't actually revert it, I used something like place this version, so it works with the oldid and that stuff... even stranger: the summary, it says "Reverted edits to version 331289" the oldid is 216.208.8.232's version, but "[...] by Alexbonaro".

..Sorry. FrancoGG ( talk ) 15:25, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

No problem, weird things happen. I really do appreciate your handling of vandalism (you do quite a bit), and I didn't mean to get in your way (if I did). I'm sure these things happen every once in awhile, especially when multiple pages need attention. :) Thanks, Browne34 15:37, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

King Of Germany deletion change

Well, the truth is, we waited for a long time and only two votes were made. Since the discussion was leaning on delete, we had to delete it. The latest revision that I can recall at this moment was that the page was a redirect to another article. Thanks!-- Tdxiang 08:56, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Substituting warnings change

Please substitute warning templates. Thanks. J Di 19:20, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

sorry change

will use the sandbox

Re: Thanks change

Good Work to you, too! It's incredible the amount of vandalism in a small Wikipedia like this. More vandalfighters are needed, we still have to ask stewards, sometimes :P

Thanks. FrancoGG ( talk ) 17:04, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

des mots qui blessent change

On the violence link, "des mots qui blessent" is not translated. You may ask for a translation at the English Wikipedia's reference desk or you may translate the phrase by yourself. Coffsneeze 19:10, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

pic change

awww...so cute!

You got me good... this is perhaps the most disturbing thing I've ever seen. :) -  BrownE34  talk  contribs  13:18, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Inappropriate userpages change

Hello, Browne34. Yes, we will delete userpages of vandals and inappropriate userpages and, in some cases, users who post too much personal information will also have their page deleted or selectively restored (provided that the information is not fake, like KA, who used a fake identity). Thanks a lot!-- Tdxiang 09:18, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks change

Thank you for the congratulations!! P.S. Why do you still have that icky pic link on here? ;-) · Tygartl1·talk· 20:02, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Congrats on 1,000+ edits! · Tygartl1·talk· 20:21, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

I think you should be an admin change

Would you like to be nominated? You'll pass with flying colours :) Majorly (hot!) 16:10, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

OK then you're up! Majorly (hot!) 16:36, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

66.5.125.11 change

You may delete this user if this user harms this wikipedia.Coffsneeze 19:48, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

City names change

At en:wiki, their Norwich disambig page is actually called Norwich (disambiguation). I think in general we are trying to avoid that situation here. Personally, I think using disambig in the title is not the best way to do it. If anything, the Norwich page should be the disambig page. So I think you did it just right. :-) · Tygartl1·talk· 17:01, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Those box things that say things like "This user hates veggies." change

How do you add these boxes that say things like "This user hates veggies" and that stuff on your user page? I'm not sure what the name is. (Hopefully, you know what I'm talking about.) Panda Bear 06:02, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Pictures on your userbox change

Can you add pictures on your userboxes in Simple English Wikipedia? If so, how? Panda Bear 04:39, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Until this Wikipedia grows? change

What's your guess about how many articles will this Wikipedia grow into until we stop focusing on core articles and the most common articles? Panda Bear 01:38, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Sorry change

I am a new user, sorry. I didn't read everything, so I'll be sure to do that before I post anything else.

Sysop rights change

Congratulations, you're now an administrator. I suggest you take a quick re-read of our policies and guidelines, and make sure you check your email regularly. If you ever need any help at all, you can always ask me or another administrator. Thanks --vector ^_^ (talk) 06:08, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations! Welcome to the team!! · Tygartl1·talk· 13:37, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Yey, well done! Majorly (hot!) 13:39, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Length of articles change

How long should articles be so that they don't classify as a stub? The Tuna article says that's it's a stub, but the Chemical element article is shorter and doesn't say that it's a stub. Panda Bear 03:03, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Signing your comment... minor edit? change

Okay, you're writing stuff on a talk page, and you save it, but you forget to sign it. Would just signing it and nothing else count as a minor edit? I'm guessing probably not. Panda Bear 23:12, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Images without boarder change

How do you upload images without a boarder? If you don't know what I'm talking about, click here.[1] Scroll down to the pictures of the apples. That's what I'm talking about. Panda Bear 12:09, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Blender change

I created a article on the software application Blender. Here's the article. Blender (program) It's the first article I've created. It's a stub right now. Maybe you can help me expand it. Here's the article on the normal English Wikipedia. [2] You could read the info in there and rewrite it in Simple English. That's what I did with the introduction. Panda Bear 23:12, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Substing your sig change

I see you have been substing your signature. If you'd like, I'll set my bot (SeanBot) to do it. Cheers, Sean William 01:12, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm trying to set my bot to do it, but I'm having a bit of trouble getting it to work :). I'll get it done. Cheers, Sean William 01:21, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
I've got it to work now, after a bit of trial-and-error testing. It'll be done in roughly 22 minutes. Cheers, Sean William 01:32, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Oh, don't worry about it. This is exactly why I created my bot. You owe me nothing :). Sean William 01:40, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
It is now complete. Sean William 01:52, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Categories change

How do you add categories to an article? Panda Bear 03:35, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Article on Engrish change

Would an article on Engrish be allowed here? Here's a link to the article on the regular English Wikipedia, in case you're unfamiliar with the term. [3] Panda Bear 08:18, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Deleting Articles change

How do you delete articles? Or is the option only available for administrators? Panda Bear 01:06, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Redirects change

Just curious, but in regards to [4], what exactly did ONaNcle do? I've made some redirects as well, and I'm wondering if there's something wrong. Thanks, Nishkid64 (talk) 23:11, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
