About meI first contributed to Wikipedia in 2005 and quickly became involved with related projects. In 2008, I joined the Wikimedia Foundation as Head of Public Outreach. Since 2010, I'm overseeing the Wikipedia Education Program. |
My workThe Wikipedia Education Program's vision is to mobilize and empower the next generation of human-knowledge generators to contribute to Wikimedia projects. Based on the learnings from a pilot program to use Wikipedia in university classrooms in the 2010–11 academic year, the Wikipedia Education Program strives to expand Wikipedia's use as a teaching tool worldwide.Disclaimer: Although I work for the Wikimedia Foundation, contributions under this account do not necessarily represent the actions or views of the Foundation unless expressly stated otherwise.
