I know, I was using numbers rather than colour names. But you seem to have found a good enough signature without me :p, sorry I couldn't be of more help. --Gwib -(talk)- 19:50, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Anon Good Nurse.

Hello Gwib. I was wondering, If you had time, Could you please make me a cool user page layout, like you did for User:Iamandrewrice, before he got blocked. But only if you have time, and you don't mind : - ) And, If you do decide to do it for me, could you do it green and like cream colour, please. and make it like really sexy and stuff. Thank-You. IuseRosary (talk) 18:04, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Alright, but not right now since I have quite a lot of work on my hands. Do you want light green or dark green? Boxes or columns? A header like Tygrrr or nothing like me? --Gwib -(talk)- 18:37, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
oh Thank-Uou Gwib :-) Could I please have: Light Green, Boxes and A header. Thank-You Gwib : - ) IuseRosary (talk) 18:39, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
It'll be done by the end of this week at the latest. --Gwib -(talk)- 18:41, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

HAHAHA, obvious Shakespeare references. Barliner even left a clue at the end of his last message. --Gwib -(talk)- 06:39, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

I only read good shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, King Lear, Orthello, Much ado about Nothing. And a few of his sonnets. you two are just reading his rubbishy stuff! IuseRosary (talk) 17:47, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

RUBBISHY STUFF. You ignorant, pathetic fool! Richard the Third is rubbish?! Julius Ceasar rubbish?! Hamlet is rubbish?! You read Othello, and yet you missed the greatest quote from it!
Here is a quote even someone as uneducated as you should be aware of: "Out, damned spot!" --Gwib -(talk)- 18:35, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Julious Ceasor is so Boring. But here is a quote for you "A friendly eye could never see such faults" That is my friendly eye, and your faults(Your Taste in Shakespeare Plays) lol This is Me forgiving you for your bad taste in Shakespeare, lol "Pray now, forget and forgive" from King Lear. And I just like this Quote "Death lies on her, like an untimely frost upon the sweetest flower of all the field" mfrom the fantsticalness that is Romeo and Juliet! IuseRosary (talk) 18:41, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Personally I prefer Richard III to the teenage sexual awakenings of two mediæval Italians.--Bärliner 18:44, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

I don't see how anybody can prefer anything more than a story of love, not sex, it is definately not about sex at all, It is about a love which is so strong that even though Romeo is Juliet's first Love and Juliet is Romeo's second Love, they are still willing to die for each other. Even though Romeo Killed Juliets cousin, but that was only because Tybalt Killed Mercutio! so Tybalt Kinda diserved it. There is only one sex scene in the play, and it's barely a sex scene. And they only have sex to consumate their marriage. It's such an amazing play. Even though they are from rival famlies and Romeo will most definately be killed if anybody found Anything out, he risks his life to be with her and for her. It's also violent and features so many more themes than Richard III, like Love, Rivalry, Authority, Deceipt. The List could go on forever! IuseRosary (talk) 18:49, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

And Othello isn't a love story? Macbeth is a single-themed monotonous piece? Romeo and Juliet are two hormone packs of flesh which would have had many, MANY more sex scenes had obstacles not presented themselves. Shakespeare added a PLAGUE halfway through, showing that he was running out of ideas. The best he's written are the tradegies. Romance is stereotypical and boring.--Gwib -(talk)- 18:57, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

There is No Physical Plague in Romeo and Juliet. And they are not Hormone Full, Well maybe romeo is, a bit. But it's love! And, What are you talking about? Romeo and Juliet Is a Tradgedy, Remember the bit at the end where they both Kill themselves in the Capulet Crypt? Macbeth is also a Tragedy. It is Impressive and also follows many themes. Yes, Orthello is Ok, but to be honest, it's got nothing on R+J. IuseRosary (talk) 19:07, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

To each his own preferences.. --Gwib -(talk)- 19:19, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Didn't Marlowe steal that pen-name from Francis Bacon? --Bärliner 19:28, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

What? That is an Obscene sugestion, Shakespeare and Marlowe were Warring Playwrites. And Shakespeare is Obv better 'cos everyone syudies him at school. IuseRosary (talk) 19:27, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Can you please chack out my simplified Moulin Rouge! Plot Summery section please and scan through for sp. etc. and tell me if It needs to be simplified more. Thanks IuseRosary (talk) 22:11, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Simply putting "played by" in front of actors names doesn't count as simplifying. I could still remove it at En Copypaste material.
There is no easy way to get around simplification, you just have to knuckle down and do it. A sentence like:
  • Soon after, the real Duke (played by Richard Roxburgh) arrives and finds Christian and Satine together. Christian's quick thinking and Satine's charm fool the Duke into believing that they were rehearsing for the musical, "Spectacular Spectacular"
would simplify to
  • After a bit, the real Duke (played by Richard Roburgh) found Christian and Satine together. They manage to trick him into believing that they were working on the musical, "Spectacular Spectacular"
Small changes make all the difference, but can take a while. --Gwib -(talk)- 22:22, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
oh, I've been like simplifying words, rather than entire sentances, I've done the odd sentance, but not too many. Do you think it is VGA standard? IuseRosary (talk) 22:24, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
No. It's messy and complicated at the moment. But with more editing and a lot more information (on ratings in different countries, themes, cover versions etc), then maybe. It took me about 3 weeks to write up all the information on Jimi Hendrix, simplify it, clean it up and add pictures. --Gwib -(talk)- 22:26, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Ok, I'll work hard on it. I can't add pics, because all the ones used on enWiki were uploaded directly to there, so there are non on commons. What shall I do? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iuserosary (talkcontribs)
Find ways around it. Add pictures of theatrical actors with the caption "Some actors working on a play" or of a script with the caption "a playwriter's script". --Gwib -(talk)- 22:34, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
What do you think now? IuseRosary (talk) 13:12, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
You are using images that are not allowed on commons so they will be removed from there and here--Bärliner 13:18, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Why not? I found them on flickr, and itsays that pictures from that website can be used! I don't understand commons. They deleted by Peggy sue and the Pirates picture, even though, I was given permission to use it by the photogropher and the band in the photo! Aghh! IuseRosary (talk) 13:19, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
They're copyright infringement. You can't use them or upload them without a written agreement from the producers. --Gwib -(talk)- 13:21, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

But there is no other sutible pictures. Do you need pics for it to become a VGA? IuseRosary (talk) 13:22, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

At least one picture - the green fairy - is on enwp. It clearly says it is copyright. You have been warned before about uploading copyright images to commons--Bärliner 13:27, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, but alot of the pics which I have uploaded arn't copyright, it's just I don't know how to say that they're not. If the green fairy pic is on EnWiki, Why is it copyrighted for this wiki? IuseRosary (talk) 13:29, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

It is copyright on ENWP but they allow fair use. We do not. This saves time checking various legalities across the world. --Bärliner 13:34, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Hello, and i welcome you to wikipedia 2. I am troubling with being new here. Can you help me become old? Inkpen2 (talk) 22:10, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, here is a list of pages you should look at and work on to "become old":

--Gwib -(talk)- 22:17, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Thank you. I will read all of the hyperlinks that you have given to me here. After i have read all of the hyperlinks that you have given to me here, will I be as good as the other editings like you? Inkpen2 (talk) 22:20, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
No, it takes time as well as knowledge. --Gwib -(talk)- 22:22, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
How can I do that then? Inkpen2 (talk) 22:24, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
By editing my talk page less and editing articles on the links I've given you more. --Gwib -(talk)- 22:27, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. I will try that, but I am new so i do not understand much about wikipedia 2. I understood wikipedia 1 slightly, but this is just very confusing. Did you see the vandalism i just reverted? It was very big. It took 5 minutes for the page to load while I was reverting it because it was very big. Thank you. What is 'blocking'? Inkpen2 (talk) 22:31, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
In your 'Users Changes', it says my name in a Chekcuser. What is this? Is this to help me? Inkpen2 (talk) 22:38, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Ok I will work the article there. By the road, why do you not delete all your messages? Inkpen2 (talk) 22:54, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
So I can keep an archive of what was said. --Gwib -(talk)- 22:56, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
What is an arhcive? Inkpen2 (talk) 22:58, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
An archive is a vault of information from the past for others to read and see how far you've come since then. Razorflame 23:00, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
So, all at all, I should not delete the information on my talk page? I am really liking it here. I hope to stay. The community seems to being a lot friendlier than on Wikipedia 1. Inkpen2 (talk) 23:02, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Bollocks, completly forgot about this! I'll do it tomorrow. As cold and officious as I am, I don't go back on my work. --Gwib -(talk)- 21:22, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
You should just stop bringing this up now. It's becoming a bit annoying, and is a bit childish. Razorflame 21:25, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
As for your word, I believe you. Hope to see you tomorrow! Razorflame 21:25, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Don't lecture me on bringing up past issues! You're the one who's just replied TODAY on an argument started 5 days ago! --Gwib -(talk)- 20:15, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
I was replying to apologize to you for starting the argument in the first place. I wasn't trying to continue the argument, I was trying to stop it. Now, what you need to do is stop bringing up parts of the argument so that we can get on with our lives. That was the only thing meant by my last comment here. Razorflame 16:37, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Concerns

No offense, Gwib, but I have some concerns. I've noticed that since becoming an administrator, you've become more focused on finding the negative aspects of a person rather than finding the positive aspects. The most recent example of this has been your vote on my RfA. Instead of saying what I need to work on, you just gave a bunch of links to parts of pages that were long in the past, such as the link about Deletion, which has actually already been worked out. It seems to me that you spent a lot of time finding links to pages that show my negative aspects than finding links to pages that show my good aspects. Another example of a concern that I have is your threatening to block people. The most recent example of this was with Benniguy, but other examples could've happened after that. You've also made several indef blocks on IP's that weren't open proxies for vandalism. Those blocks should've only been for 24 hours. I have also seen a dramatic change in your attitude. Instead of being the friendly, care-free guy that I used to know and like listening to, you've turned into a cold and officious person. You need to snap out of it. I want to see the return of the care-free guy. You are putting too much thought into your administrator tasks, and frankly, they are damaging potential relationships. I feel that they have impeded with your ability to make rational decisions at times when such are needed. Your ego is becoming a bit too big, and this is troubling to some people. I would like to suggest to you to tone it down a bit. While this may seem like ranting or being rude to you, it is not. It is me, trying to open your eyes to some problems that you have that need fixing, because you are starting to receive negative attention because of it. Other things that need to be worked on could be the fact that you something think to fast about something, and then come to the wrong conclusion. While this may seem strange to hear it coming from me, as it is also something that I am working on, it is also something that you need to work on. Once again, I am not trying to bang on you or anything, I'm trying to boost you up. Please take what I've said to heart and try to work on these! Please! Razorflame 20:20, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Might I also add that I was actually in the center of the Benniguy fiasco? Razorflame 20:32, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

"you've become more focused on finding the negative aspects of a person rather than finding the positive aspects"
And is that person ... you?
It isn't just me. (Razorflame)
Who else then? (Gwib)
"Your ego is becoming a bit too big, and this is troubling to some people"
Again, are these people ... you?
And again, it isn't just me. (Razorflame)
Who else then? (Gwib)
I also seem to remember you asking to have your userpage protected so that Ben couldn't edit it. I didn't hear from you for the rest of that day, so I would presumably assume that you had either a convenient distraction or that you were avoiding the issues.
Feel free to remove my name from your friends list as the definitive blow to our relationship here, but I hold my views and won't change them. And as for my being a "cold and officious person", I guess that's just puberty hitting good and hard. --Gwib -(talk)- 21:10, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
I removed myself from the conflict after Tygrrr suggested that I remove myself from it. Razorflame 21:13, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
And yet you consider yourself to have been in the centre of it? --Gwib -(talk)- 21:14, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
I was at the center of it until then. After that, I distanced myself from the rest of it because of what Tygrrr told me. Razorflame 21:17, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
You certainly kept your distance. In the other issues with Ben the only useful advice I can remember you bringing us was when you voted on the AN. I'm sorry if you think I've metamorphosed into this heartless, cold being, but I don't think you're ready to become an administrator and if you can't accept this without dragging up all of my faults then you might as well not mention it at all. --Gwib -(talk)- 21:20, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
I know you don't think that I'm ready to become an administrator. You made that clear when you voted for me. That wasn't the reason why I brought this up. I brought this up as some critism, things you can work on. I hope that you do work on them. ~`~~
Wherever I feel it necessary for me to change my officious ways, I will. But until then, any RfA will be met with the prying nature that is necessary and indeed extremely important. Your case was not unique. If you'll check my own RfA you'll see that Creol went through some prying of his own to oppose me and I didn't discharge all over his talk page. --Gwib -(talk)- 21:28, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

bunch of links to parts of pages that were long in the past within the last week is hardly long in the past. And those links including the teaching comments you need.

threatening to block people but you do Razorflame, or as you suggest on ViP.

The most recent example of this was with Benniguy, ditto

You've also made several indef blocks on IP's that weren't open proxies for vandalism. Those blocks should've only been for 24 hours. No again, imperfect understanding of policy and how do you know they were not open proxies,

Yes Gwib went over the top in the IuseR/IamR fiasco. Since then Gwib has been helping IuseR, hardly the cold, officious, testosterone-overloaded teen described above.--Bärliner 21:52, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

I would just like to apologize for posting this in the first place. I should never have posted this in the first place. I hope you can forgive me and possibly change your opinion of me. I am trying really hard to increase my understanding of all of the policies here at the Simple English Wikipedia, and I have found it to be pretty difficult. I am still trying to work on getting the policies required down pat for the future. Thanks for helping me see that I am not yet ready for adminship, and I definitely think that you have helped me very much. I just hope that we can be friends again :) Cheers, Razorflame 19:18, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
It's fine, I don't really mind what people think of me here as long as their (and my) edits aren't impeded by the issues we have(-cough- Benniguy -cough-). However, I've just come back from hospital feeling like the black death warmed up, so I think I'm being pretty darn forgiving. --Gwib -(talk)- 20:13, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Done. For future reference, if you want to add a table of contents, use the code __TOC__ and if you want to remove one, use the code __NOTOC__. --Gwib -(talk)- 00:17, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks :) --Bianca (talk to Bianca) 00:17, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Plain White T's Article

Hey Gwib, on the Plain White T's article whenever I add a "Formation" paragraph, you delete it and the reason is "Correct Text", not meaning to be rude but what exactly is "Correct Text" and why does that paragraph and only that paragraph keep getting deleted? Cheers, --Squidmate (talk) 11:53, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

The "Correct Text" edit summary was correcting the code in the picture you put. If you look carefully, when I deleted the "Formation" paragraph I put something along the lines of "en copypaste" since it was just a block copied and pasted directly from English Wikipedia.
Any articles or sections of articles copied and pasted from En Wiki are generally deleted since they're not simple, often have templates and images we don't over here and are overall unsuited to be in a Simple Wiki. --Gwib -(talk)- 11:56, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi

I wanted to thank you for your response on my rfa. I also want to say I wan't lying. Why would I do that? I honestly thought it was 2 months. SwirlBoy39 (talk) 18:34, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

You thought that 2 weeks were 2 months?... Were you in a coma? --Gwib -(talk)- 20:16, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Hey Gwib. can you help me please.

151.49.50.186 has been replaing the sandbox with an external link to a porn site and removing the thing at the top of the sandbox which says not to remove. I warned him, but not officially, becuase it is the sandbox. he then vandilised my user talk page. i don't know what to do. Oh and he continues to add the external link to the porn site on the sandbox and removes the thing which is not to be removed. As neither you nor anyother admin seem to be online, I have added the ip at the top of WP:VIP.

Seems to be sorted out. By the way, this Benniguy thing is hilarious! Feel free to tell him this at school but him getting so unbelievably wound up through the power of words is myriad times better than anything I've felt in a while! --Gwib -(talk)- 20:22, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

lol. I'll make sure he gets the message. I've already told him to calm down atleast twice now. lol : - ) Chicken-The-Turkey-Farm-Face-In-Your-Face-Munching-on-your-lips-hips-chips-Ps.IuseRosary? (talk) 20:25, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

He's getting so ticked off! I actually laughed when I read his last posts. --Gwib -(talk)- 20:35, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Just a question

Hello Gwib, I've a hypothetical question for you. If a hypothetical user was to be considering adminship in the future, do you possibly know of any pages you would point this hypothetical user towards? Every atom... The Wolf ...and I divide it 21:35, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Hypotheticaly a user considering adminship would want to read WP:ADMIN, WP:CFA, WP:RULES and policies/guidelines. Oysterguitarist 21:51, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Looks like clamdrummer beat me to answering your question. --Gwib -(talk)- 06:18, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Stylish Gwib

Another photo, and your watch has swapped wrists again. BTW, has Switzerland abandoned the Gregorian calendar? No way was that image taken on "Source=self-made |Date=6/3/08".  :) --Bärliner 23:02, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

I wonder how that happened! I saw that the date was wrong, but then I see that even after swapping the first two numbers around (a common mistake) that it was still wrong...
But it was either that photo or one where my eyes were different sizes somehow. :( --Gwib -(talk)- 06:27, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Lisa Gerrard

Its not? What is wrong with the article?

Glitter1959 (talk) 22:11, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Glitter1959

It has a {{complex}} tag, so it doesn't meet this point in the criteria: There must be no templates pointing to the fact that the article needs improvement. These templates include {{complex}}, {{cleanup}}, {{stub}}, {{unreferenced}} and {{wikify}}. The article also should not need them. Also, it has a lot of red links so it doesn't meet this point either: All important terms should be linked and there must be no red links left. Red links point to articles that do not exist yet. Usually the important word or phrase is only linked the first time it occurs.-- Lights  talk  22:34, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Alfred Deakin

Nice catch. I was sitting here watching to see if anyone would notice that little qd problem or if it would just get blindly deleted. -- Creol(talk) 16:58, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

After my own mistake QD I usually check to see if they're appropriate. :) --Gwib -(talk)- 17:01, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
