About me

My name is actually Keegan. I've been an editor on the English Wikipedia since 2005, an administrator since 2006. I'm also an Oversighter and CheckUser on the English Wikipedia. Globally I'm an OTRS administrator, a member of the Communications Committee, and a Language Committee observer. I am an encyclopedia geek, which is how I wound up here both as a volunteer and working with Wikimedia.

I worked for the Wikimedia Foundation on Fundraising 2010 on outreach to non-English Wikimedia projects. This is the same role I have for Product, but full-time in this venture. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga in History, with a minor in everything that is trivial.

My work

I am working on launching VisualEditor and Notifications (Echo), primarily tasked to working with most other language Wikimedia projects that are not English-based. My job is to ensure that communities have the proper documentation translated and available locally as well as being there to engage and empower volunteers to assist their communities with the deployment of the software. I am an English speaker, but if you need to communicate with me in any other language I have the resources available to talk to you however you are most comfortable.
Disclaimer: Although I work for the Wikimedia Foundation, contributions under this account do not necessarily represent the actions or views of the Foundation unless expressly stated otherwise. For example, edits to articles or uploads of other media are done in my individual, personal capacity unless otherwise stated.
