A Tube socket is a connector that vacuum tubes are plugged into. The front of the socket will have holes that the pins on the tube will line up with, and the back of the socket will have its own set of pins that can be soldered to. Tube sockets are used so that if a vacuum tube stops working it can be switched out for a working one easily, and it won't have to be desoldered, which can be very hard and take a long time. There are many different types of pins on vacuum tubes, and so each type has it's own type of socket.
