Hi Comp.arch. What did you mean by "age appropriate" on the LPSR template for Firefox? I updated it, but wasn't sure what you meant by that second comment. Regards, Osiris (talk) 05:55, 2 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Hi Osiris, sorry for answering so late. I just haven't been here in a while. I answered in the talk page so others would see. You can respond there or here if needed but I might not read for a great while. I just stumbled here in the first place and fixed some things. I'm much more active in the main Wikipedia (and Firefox there). On my talk page there you'll get a quick reply. Comp.arch (talk) 14:47, 2 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Quick deletion of Julia (programming language) change

The page you wrote, Julia (programming language), has been selected for quick deletion. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. You can find more information about the reason here. Zaxxon0 (talk) 09:53, 5 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

April 2020 change

  We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but "Microsoft Windows" was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex. They need to be simplified before or immediately after being added to the Simple English Wikipedia. In addition, be sure to include attribution on the article's talk page. Thank you. Please do not copy/paste articles or portions of articles from the English Wikipedia without simplifying them and removing words that are complex language. See this page for an example of Simple English. Operator873talkconnect 20:47, 7 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Comp.arch: Have your received the above message? Operator873talkconnect 20:56, 7 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I've not yet reverted the Windows part, but taking into account on all the other stuff I'm (partially) reverting. Others that I'm reverting were undone in error. They may seem like large changes, but e.g. the last one was a large change in bytes because of sources and the infobox (and I left out the infobox for now, please just revert to my version after reviewing). Comp.arch (talk) 21:00, 7 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Your edits are an exact copy/paste from English Wikipedia with no simplification. You're very welcome to use English Wikipedia's articles as a starting point, but you should immediately simplify the language in the new text. If you don't, continuing to add and leave complex language to articles will result in your editing privileges being blocked. Further restoring your edits may be reverted by the community as vandalism. Operator873talkconnect 21:07, 7 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
"Your edits are an exact copy/paste from English Wikipedia with no simplification." That's not exactly true. It may look that way. It's shortened (often only copying the lead), in I think all cases. In some I may have started with copying all then, cut down later. Please WP:assume good faith, I'm not vandalizing (intentionally). I wrote "copied from non-simple", as at least at regular WP, for copyright reasons, you should do that, say where copying from. Yes, I'm doing that, because those articles are more up-to-date, or as in case of Julia language and Kotlin, they were missing here. Internet Explorer was already non-simple here, so I didn't make it worse at least. Comp.arch (talk) 21:22, 7 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

May 2022 change

  Hello, Comp.arch! Here at Simple English Wikipedia we use the section heading "Other websites" instead of English Wikipedia's "External links", which you used in "Julia (programming language)". This makes it simpler and easier to read. Please remember to use "Other websites" in articles that you create in the future. Thank you for your help! MathXplore (talk) 06:35, 5 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

September 2023 change

  We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but an article you created was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex. They need to be simplified before or immediately after being added to the Simple English Wikipedia. In addition, be sure to include attribution on the article's talk page. Thank you. Bobherry Talk My Changes 20:49, 3 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

I agree here should not be complex, and I was aiming for that with gunship, that I think you're objecting to (I think I simplified a lot, so I'm thinking is this message autogenerated?). I saw your message about when I was adding gunboat, for completeness, I feel they need to both exist to point to each other. That one is probably still way to long at least of not too complex. I don't really like to add gunboat diplomacy, for now just linking to en:gunboat diplomacy, but that concept needs to at least be mentioned... Comp.arch (talk) 20:58, 3 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Basically the words and phrases must be in Basic English. The articles being here are fine but they must be simplified when or shortly after being brought from the main english wikipedia. Bobherry Talk My Changes 21:00, 3 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, Comp.arch! Here at Simple English Wikipedia we use the section heading "Related pages" instead of English Wikipedia's "See also", which you used in "Gunboat". This makes it simpler and easier to read. Please remember to use "Related pages" in articles that you create in the future. Thank you for your help!
