We are called 'Simple' for a reason...

Your new page cardinal numeral is an exact copy of the article on En wiki. Now, if we wanted to do that, we would arrange for a bot to do it, wouldn't we? I mean, we're not complete idiots...

What you need to do is to make the language simple enough to be understood by a ten-year old. You should do this before putting the page up on the wiki. For some editors, a sub-page of their user-page is a good idea. Anyway, you need to stop copy-pasting pages from En onto this wiki. I leave it as it is for the moment so you can see the point. Now I changed it. Macdonald-ross (talk) 15:36, 3 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Sorry. Won't happen again. Derpdart56 (talk) 16:01, 3 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Warning users

Hi, glad to see that you are settling in over here. When warning users next time with warning templates (such as {{uw-vandalism1}}), please substitute the template instead by adding subst: before the template name:

{{subst:uw-vandalism1|Article title}}

When you substitute a template, what happens is that you cause a copy of the template text (the entire warning message) to be placed on the page, instead of merely a reference to a template ({{uw-vandalism1}}). You can see the difference by going to these two revisions, and clicking "change this page" to view the page's wikicode: [1] [2]. Alternatively, if you prefer, Twinkle also has functionality to warn users. I see that you have used Twinkle to welcome users already; the "warn" tab above will open the interface for leaving warning messages to users.

Feel free to drop me a message on my talk page if you have any queries. Chenzw  Talk  09:13, 9 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Okay. Thanks for the tip. Derpdart56 (talk) 14:33, 9 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Quick deletion of Bates family

The page you wrote, Bates family, has been selected for quick deletion. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. You can find more information about the reason here. About the welcome

Oh, thx for welcoming me. Great to see you dealing with spam with deletion requests. Keep up the good work. Make sure that you report this to an active admin so that they can decide whether or not to debate or just delete it. Personally, if I was an admin, I'd delete it, because it lacks content, no sources and just a bunch of nonsense. --Auri1999 (talk) 20:09, 21 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Oh, thx for suggesting that. I will use Twinkle from now on. --Auri1999 (talk) 20:12, 21 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Relay Ball (Sport)

I am the true creator of Relay Ball I would like it up and running please on Wikipedia I like Wikipedia and actually I won’t misuse it. Relayball47 (talk) 19:30, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Alright, but you should get an en wiki article first. Derpdart56 (talk) 20:47, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

How do I do that? Relayball47 (talk) 20:49, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Go to the english wikipedia, and create Relay Ball (sport). Derpdart56 (talk) 20:51, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

For future reference, it is never a good idea to give the above advice. We don't base our articles off of the English Wikipedia, and as such having an article on Enwiki (or any other project) is not a prerequisite for being notable here. Also, this is an editor who has dozens of accounts, all blocked, used to spam Relay Ball. Best, Vermont (talk) 20:55, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Vermont:That was my mistake. I did not know the person's past, so I trusted them. Thanks for the heads up about this, though. I will QD any articles about Relay ball. Derpdart56 (talk) 21:02, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your revert on Food

FYI your revert on Food actually restored vandalism even though it fixed the blanking. I think the vandal was trying to game the system to get their vandalism to stay. I've restored an earlier version prior to any of the vandalism taking place. But thought I would mention...sometimes its worth checking prior edits (if recent) before restoring a version. Wikipedia:Introduction

The page explicitly allows test edits for editors new to the encyclopedia, so more leeway tends to be given to anonymous editors (just like the sandbox). The same goes for Wikipedia:Student tutorial. Of course, libellous or offensive material should still be reverted on sight. Chenzw  Talk  02:07, 26 October 2019 (UTC) Oh. Sorry, didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up. --Derpdart56 (talk) 02:43, 26 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
