Since I was here.. The Wikidata was pointed to the wrong article. I fixed that. I also moved the page the Derna, Libya and cleaned up the inbound links. None were to the river, but there was one to place in Romania. The main page should need to be either the most common name or a disambig page, but Ill leave that as a redirect for now. Arrowsmith school

I put in citations as required and these are third party citations besides 2 from the founder itself. I ensured to keep out promotional stuff and had numerous citations arguing the opposite. You can add hundreds of citations without explaining HOW it is notable. Citations from the founder are not neutral and not reliable. What notable alumni has there been, what MAJOR awards has the school received. It really should be pointed out that Serener has been a contributor to the En. wiki article you point out is a well written article about a notable school (the school that is the subject of this article under construction). Their contributions to that article go back to 2019 with no administrative actions and only a welcome message on their talk page. Not coming across as a trouble maker. There was no QD tag placed, I simply deleted it. There was no {{in progress}} template and the entire aricle was 90% about the founder and her life with no mention of anything claiming notability. If they were a major author of the enwiki article they could have brought it over in a much better format than the disorganised mess it was in. When I create an article I don't do it in bits and pieces, I keep working and pressing preview until I'm 90% happy with it. Then I save it. If you bothered looking at the sources, you'd see there is much more than the subject itself and the majority were secondary sources, mostly critical of the subject but from an academic perspective. Instead of messaging me or raising objections on the talk page or reading through the sources, you got trigger-happy and just deleted all that hardwork. It must be more fun hitting the deletion button than making an effort to bring up any legit objections -none of which there were if anyone bothered to check. I've compared it to the enwiki version and there seems to be no difference. I'm not an expert with wiki markup language so I'd ask someone else if I were you; perhaps eptalon, Vermont, or Auntof6. The page in your user space was using the box template with two depreciated parameters. This caused the template to place the page in an error category and to not display the information at all. Being it is the page of an active user, rather than just fixing the issue, I informed you of what was causing both proplegs on your page as well as what was needed to be done to correct the error and display problem. I left a !vote on the AFD after I went through the sources and did some other digging. Biggest (not at all) shock was that the page was created on EN as well, multiple times, and always deleted as a G5 [2] with the creator being part of the Amansharma111 sock farm. I had also tagged Ujjawal Trivedi here as G11 (which you deleted and thank you!), but got to wondering and to no surprise, it's been created multiple times on EN and deleted as G5 as created by a sock of Amansharma111 - [3]. I took a look at the deleted page and it seems to me that you would need to have more references that support his notability. Right now there aren't enough sources that are independent, well-known, (i.e.:major national or international) , have a neutral point of view and have no conflict of interest. Well known national newspaper would be a good start. Well known magazines like Rolling Stone would also help establish his notability. WP:ITSNOTABLE isn't a valid for keeping and whilst the subject does have articles on other projects it was deemed on EN (whom are very stringent) that she wasn't notable and as such was deleted there,
Also Eptalon hasn't provided any evidence of any notability - Pure Evil gave a valid reason for deletion and it's the Keepers job to counteract deletion claims with a valid reason to keep with proof which imho was not done,
Looking at it in a neutral way PureEvil's comment held the most weight and he provided more than just "Delete - Not notable" which is what Eptalon's !vote basically is,

Sure, apart from passing NACTOR which can be used to contribute to GNG there was the number of products that have been created using her persona such as a journal, posters, and other such material is not created for nobodies; the fact that ChatGPT knows who she is; articles in reliable sources that mention her[5],[6],Rolling Stone etc...; Being in The UK Sun; Many articles in Sportskeeda; Being charged by the US SEC[7] (that is in the news); and the sheer number of videos she's in, amongst other stuff that are on loads of other websites, and that's she's on other Wikipedia's, led me to believe she meets GNG. Each version of Wikipedia chooses their own logo. The Simple English Wikipedia has chosen the one you see and has had it for almost 17 years. We like it. I actually did quite a bit more research on this one than normal. I can't find reliable sources. Those are sources that are available on the Internet, are cited in other reliable sources like other websites (who are themselves RS) and well-known national or international newspapers, journals and magazine. Being mentioned on the national or international news helps establish RS and N. CNN, Al-Jazeera, The Times of India etc., are all reliable sources as long as the subject is the main topic of the piece and not just mentioned as a 2 second side-line. I am, at the moment, researching a page that would list the major RS of India, Pakistan and South-East Asia asI don't think we have good enough coverage for this area of the world. fr33kman 13:55, 4 December 2023 (UTC)

Declined QDs

Hi, I do know I tend to be more strict on these than many editors, but I thought the recent ones were pretty clear cut. For example, in María Josepha Sophia de Iturbide, every sentence is an exact word-for-word copy paste from EnWP. Not a word was changed. They editor just copied sentences and left others out. Short is not simpler, right? No attribution. What they didn't copy was references, making the article worse than the En version. Would you reconsider the QDs? Or, should I take them to RfD? When I reviewed them I thought that your reasoning was that they were an exact word-for-word copy of a copy of sentences. Then I saw that they had been changed a little and felt that perhaps your thinking was that there was no attribution. Copyright law permits an exact word-for-word copy without attribution of one or two sentences without falling foul of the law. I added the attribution and declined the QDs. Since you've explained what your thinking was more clearly I am happy to delete them. FYI, When I see articles created like these were, where fixing them would be quick and easy, I prefer to just quickly fix them them rather than delete them but I support your right to ask for a QD instead. • The IP user stopped, and then a new Simonsmichel began repeating the same. Simonsmichel faked a global rollbacker role, likely to appear more authentic. This succession is evident of a sockpuppet.
• Simonsmichel began threatening on multiple Wikipedia threads.

Fr33kman, just take a glance at the articles I nominated for deletion. They clearly make sense.

This message is regarding the User:SaneFlint who is blocked for abusivly using multiple accounts(socking) in EN wiki, here is the link to the Sockpuppet investigation. SaneFlint has created the article Pir Ihsanullah Shah Rashdi on EN Wiki, which is currently in the AfD: [25].
I'd like to clarify that User:SaneFlint assumed User:Rathura Jemican was me here on Simple Wiki: [26], even though I don't have any other accounts. This is my first edit on Simple Wiki. You can check my global contributions, I am a new page reviewer in En wiki and have been only editing there majorly.
After SaneFlint's ban on EN Wiki, they seem to have shifted here to create similar articles that were deleted on the EN wiki. I discovered their activity here while checking where this image was being used.

My advice to you (like it is to everyone) is make it easier on the admins by firstly not publishing an article until it is in a fit state to be on the project by making sure it is at least 50%-75% finished and has a) reliable sources and b) makes an actual claim of notability. This means telling us WHY he subject deserves a page in an encyclopedia. I've created lots of articles myself and have never had one deleted because I follow this advice and don't press "Publish" until it is finished or almost finished. Requesting admin to moderate/ deal with the vandalism problem with the Simple Wikipedia Generation articles

Hello there. I suggest that the Simple English Wikipedia articles for Generation X, Millennial, Generation Z, and Generation Alpha follow the same guidelines as those from the main English site. Admins there have concluded with only allowing official government citations and certain key institutions such as Pew Research to filter out disruptive editing and vandalism, and to provide a factual reading experience. Much of the edits in these Simple Wikipedia articles have dubious citations, with bad-faith statements (examples include edits stating that Pew ends Gen X at 1979; both citations in the Generation Alpha page state 2013 as the start date, yet editors falsely edit the sentence to state 2012; and the false statement that there are many governmental sources that have 1996-2011 as the Gen Z date range, when this isn't the case). There are multiple citations that come from irrelevant sources (which will allow editors to put any date range they choose,  thus pointing out the bias problem). I have already made edits to remove these, but I believe that it is important to inform to you about this and to allow you to make the decision. I don't know if there's a bot that automatically replaces the category in the subcategories or if we should use c:Cat-a-lot to do that. @MikutoH FYI, there is a bot, RussBot. It logs its actions at User:RussBot/category redirect log. It seems to usually run twice a month, so it hadn't moved the pages to the new category title yet. @Auntof6: When MikutoH moved Category:LGBT people by variation and Category:LGBT variations to Category:LGBT people by identity and Category:LGBT identities, they meant for the contents to be moved to the new category titles. However, the bot hadn't moved them yet, so the new categories were empty, and Fr33kman deleted them as empty categories. They were not supposed to be empty, they just hadn't been populated yet. There is really no difference between blanking or deleting them. Blanking them will allow them to come back and re-pollute everything especially with the malformed templates they were making and I’m still fixing some of them they brought over incorrectly and messed up. @Auntof6 Also I still feel the QD is justified as all of those are just copied from enwp with no simplification on them. Others are translated (by editors own admission) using google translate and something they marked as MT translated. So I’m not sure they should really go to RfD to be honest. re: one strike

Hi, with what you said on User talk:SportsOlympic#Unblock request, I probably agree. I noticed it has got stricter over the years. Wikipedia talk:Blocks and bans#Amendment to ONESTRIKE was made as over time, the rule had also changed more from banned users into just indef users. The block itself was probably one of the poorest blocks I've seen in terms of justification and I wasn't a fan at the time, but that's a matter for another day :) Usually we are a bit more generous than onestrike anyway. --Ferien (talk) 21:29, 18 April 2024 (UTC)

hello I am new here. as I have started to collaborate with the Sindh Adabi Board which is affiliated with the local government to save the Sindhi literature. I hope it would be ok to for me to collborate with them. I am also economics and history student with masters degree.

how do article publishing and article undeleting process works here? it seems many sindhi literature subjects are getting vanished due to the poor press or writers support.

Basically subjects must meet WP:GNG, include unbiased references, be of neutral points of view and be able to pass peer review if needed. Conflicts of interest must also be avoided which means people who work for an organisation should avoid writing articles about or concerning that organisation. Articles must be written in simple English using words contained in WP:BE850 and WP:BE1500 and be written in a way that the average student in US grades 6-9 can read and understand. Our mission is to offer articles that exist on the normal English Wikipedia but in simpler English. Feel free to ask members of the community for help on WP:ST. If you need the aid of an admin you can ask for help on WP:AN. If a member of the community contacts you with comments about your work assume that they are trying to help you and are not criticising you. If I can help please ask for help.
