March 2023

change

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make helpful changes to the encyclopedia. You may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to keep the encyclopedia looking neat and professional. Using different styles in the encyclopedia, as you did to "Marcia", can make it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about changing this encyclopedia. Thank you. Justarandomamerican (talk) 12:10, 24 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not use styles that are unusual or hard to understand in articles, as you did to "Matej". There is a Manual of Style that should be followed. Changes made to articles should not go against it without a good reason. Thank you. All caps should be avoided in articles, especially in section titles. Justarandomamerican (talk) 12:44, 24 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please stop making bad formatting. If you keep using disruptive or hard-to-read formatting, as you did to "Melanie", you will be blocked from changing Wikipedia. There is a Manual of Style that should be followed, and changes made to articles should not go against it without a good reason. Please respond with why you're adding sections in all caps. Justarandomamerican (talk) 12:51, 24 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your recent changes, like those you made to "Melissa", are vandalism, and this shows that you want to harm Wikipedia. This is your last warning. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from changing Wikipedia. Respond, or you may be blocked. Communication is required. Justarandomamerican (talk) 12:55, 24 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

@NoraCook Why are you all capping section titles? Derpdart56 (talk) 14:20, 24 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Dear Derpdart,
Thank you very much for your reminders and warnings. I apologize for not following the proper format and guidelines while editing Wikipedia. I have carefully reviewed the relevant Wikipedia editing guidelines and have a clearer understanding of my mistakes.
To avoid making the same mistakes in the future, I will ensure that I fully understand the Wikipedia guidelines before continuing to edit and will do my best to adhere to them. If you have any suggestions or resources that can help me better follow these guidelines, please feel free to let me know.
Thank you again for your reminders and patient guidance. I will strive to be a more responsible and professional Wikipedia editor.
Best regards NoraCook (talk) 14:14, 27 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

AN

change

I have started a thread on AN regarding you repeatedly inserting all caps section headers. Justarandomamerican (talk) 13:00, 24 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Not a name directory?

change

Hello, and thank you for your contributeions, which for now seem to be mostly names. When you add these, please keep in mind the following:

  • In some cases, the first name, or family name is not necessarily what people are looking for: For example: 'Lucy' is the name for (a partly preserved) skeleton, of a likely female australopithecus, see Lucy (Australopithecus), but also of a movie by Luc Besson. In such cases, it's probably good to create a disambiguation page.
  • As to names: Kim is also a surnmame, and in Korea, it is very popular. Note also, that in some countries (Korea, China, Japan...) they put the family name first...

Anyway, happy editing. Eptalon (talk) 10:50, 31 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

New given name articles

change

Hello NoraCook, I've renamed a couple of your new articles as the bracket symbol isn't correct. It should be in the format of (given name), however for the articles you have created, they are appearing as (given name). Please ensure for future articles that () brackets are used. If your keyboard automatically uses those types of brackets and you are unable to change your keyboard, please refer back to this talk page section to copy and paste the correct brackets for this Wikipedia. Thank you. --Ferien (talk) 16:51, 4 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

April 2023

change

Hello, NoraCook. It looks like "Aarón" was derived from the English Wikipedia or another version of Wikipedia. If that is indeed the case, please make sure you add some form of attribution, either in your change summary or on the article's talk page. This must be done, even for derivative works, or the article will be deleted in time. More instructions on how to do this are at Wikipedia:Transwiki attribution. Thank you. MathXplore (talk) 07:48, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for changing Wikipedia. We welcome all changes, but we can have only changes that are in simple English, and your new changes to "Jacqueline" were not simple. Please see Wikipedia:How to write Simple English pages so you can write more simply in the future. Thank you. MathXplore (talk) 13:06, 6 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Notice of neutral point

change

Thank you Ms Nora Cook, but the articles here and across all Wikipedias have to be neutral, not one-side or another. The word lovely in Joanna was not neutral, so please be very careful of those words on Wikipedia information sites. Angela Kate Maureen Pears 14:22, 6 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your reminding. I will pay attention to it in the future. NoraCook (talk) 01:14, 7 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently made a new article or made changes to one, for example "Ad (name)", by adding things copied from a book, magazine, newspaper or another website without the permission of the copyright holder. Many sources, including websites found on the Internet, are copyrighted. I'm afraid Wikipedia cannot accept any things copied from these sources as it can get Wikipedia into serious legal trouble. The article or changes have been or will soon be deleted. Next time, please look up sources to find out information for articles and explain it in your own words, and don't copy sentences or images from them. Thank you.
