Hello! I am assuming you have come over from the English Wikipedia, so you are probably familiar with the way this wiki works. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. One important difference here is that we call edits changes. Here are a few links to help you adjust:

Re Template:Did you know/Queue

Hi, DYK is currently only updated once a month per community consensus. It's usually updated on the first day of the month each month. For what it's worth, the updates do not have to be done by an admin, even though it often is done by one. The reasoning behind it, is that it's best to update on a less regular basis, rather than update too regularly, then have the same queue on for months. I personally would prefer 2 a month, but 1 a month is reasonable imo. --Ferien (talk) 16:44, 19 July 2023 (UTC)

Help with converting to Simple English

Hi QuicoleJR, As I wrote over at women in red I would like convert some of my short article to Simple English. I'd like to start with some very simple ones like Adele von Finck. Hello, there are two things you may want to check at this page.

• The author added context and removed QD tag
• The page has its FR/NL version, and these may be taken in consideration

Thanks QJ I was awaiting your help. I shortened your name to call in simple. Is it okay for you? I read that page and found that words should be simple but ideas never. So I have a bold stand by asking this why didn't anyone talked about my ideas and kept talking about words only. This is not good for Wikipedia's health and mine too. Words are subject to worry to understand, say, write and study in easiest manner what about those who can not see, those who can not hear, those who can not speak? What if had come to Wikipedia and told that I am blind how can I read your words as I do not go to school because my parents has no hope for future but I have belief and want to learn secretly in my room ?...........I will not believe if someone says we are selective in whom to deliver knowledge. If anyone is disabled then who cares? We are not in providing articles to animals. ?

Research is for breaking the barrier and discovering the unknown and applying for good.

You've put info sourced by citations that do not say what you do (article Arvanites), you've employed sources from 1842 to push a point and rejected newer more recent sources that uniquely give other viewpoints than yours (article Fustanella). Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 21:18, 24 August 2023 (UTC)

Wrong. The source from 1842 is from Cyprien Rupert, a French expert on the Balkans who gave accurate observations at a time when nationalist fervor was normal. I am not saying Rupert is perfect, but dismissing his work on account of age is absurd. The Alatis and Staczek source on the Arvanites page says that Greek culture and Arvanite culture differ little because they share a common Late Byzantine (i.e., Byzantine Greek) milieu. That is supported by the other source from Kostas Karastathis, an expert on the Arvanites. But if the Alatis and Staczek source is so problematic for you, then I can remove it (Karastathis, however, stays). As for the other sources you inserted into the Fustanella page, one of them is from the Academy of Sciences of Albania established in 1972 during Albania's horrible communist period with a lamentable history of publishing nationalist propaganda (i.e., Illyrianism). Equalizing anything, however old, from the Academy of Sciences of Albania with sources from the very reputable Smithsonian Institute (and the Benaki Museum) creates a false and misleading balance. This is why you need to stop uncritically stuffing articles with junk you call "sourced content". You did this on the Evangelos Zappas page ([1], [2], [3], [4]) among other places and I spent a lot of time explaining things to you. Hello, while those people who know the guy above mostly know him from mathematics (mostly: how to run a vote with multiple candidates), he was a tzruly liberal thinker. He had such ideas as that the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, which was one of the results of the French revolution, should also apply to women (it says: Men are born and remain free and equal in rights), that women should have a right to vote in elections, that black people should have the same rights as white people, that there are no smart women, because women don't get an education similar to those of men,...) I don't know if your project is only focused on women, but just wanted to point that out. About Good articles

Is there any minimum words or bytes requirement from Good articles? Like if I fill the red links in Kuwaiti dinar can it be proposed for a good article, Even though it's just 4k bytes long? -- 💌Ayesha46 (talk) 08:13, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

In this change to 1999 Sydney hailstorm, you added some references, but didn't add all the necessary information. The enwiki version of the page uses shortened footnotes. That requires two pieces: the information that you included in the article, plus a list with full information about the sources used. Please add that information to the article, and be sure to include it if you copy this kind of references for any other articles.
