an invitation to Edit filter managers change
Hi,
Sorry for using english language
This is an invitation to Edit filter managers and patrollers who refer to edit filters from your wiki project to share and know about effective public filters from various wikimedia wiki projects.
It is almost eight years since March 2009, that Edit filters are in use on various Wikimedia wiki projects. At meta we have started a platform page m:Edit filters benefiting to various local Wikiprojects to know good and effective (public) edit filters by sharing of relevant information with rest of wikimedia community. This will help editfilter managers, and there by concerned projects, to benefit from maximising potential of best possible (public) edit filters.
We are keen to have your participation in this collaborative and constructive endeavour and the discussions.
Requested filter change

Requested filter - links to enwiki change
I'd like to request that a filter be created to detect when links are added to articles to the main english wikipedia. It should catch edits like [1], and I suggest something along the lines of checking if the added lines contain [[:en:. Pinging @Enfcer, who helped out above. I suggest setting the filter to log only at the start, and if it works a discussion could be had about either tagging or warning. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 21:54, 22 May 2019 (UTC)

Requested Filter change
There needs to be a new filter/tag that detects users removing deletion templates. I have seen many infractions lately. Many wikis have this type of filter, and now its time for this wiki to be introduced one as well. Zaxxon0 (talk) 06:17, 23 May 2019 (UTC)

- Yeah what Auntof6 says, this wouldn't be a good filter. There are so few Rfd's at a given time that it wouldn't be a big deal to revert. And QDs are allowed to be removed by editors. -DJSasso (talk) 10:33, 30 May 2019 (UTC)
- However, I will modify one that en.wiki has for editors with less than 50 edits removing one. See Special:AbuseFilter/85 -DJSasso (talk) 10:56, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

My Work Was Ruined And Deleated change
I had added three hours of work just for it to be called "vandalism"! THREE HOURS OF HARD WORK! I had added that the wall took over 2,500 years to build. Along with a lot of other facts that the readers would find important and interesting. ALL FOR IT TO JUST BE DELEATED BECAUSE OF ONE TINY MISTAKE!!!

- @Djsasso: :@Hellothere4: made several clarifying updates to the text. Someone reverted them claiming that the language was not simplified enough (even though it was no more complex than the rest of the article). Even so, in order to be accommodating, I adjusted the changes further to use even more basic English, but the changes were auto-blocked and claimed to be "harmful" incorrectly. Just now I attempted to sign in and make the changes again, with some additional spelling/grammar/language improvements in the article, but the same issue came up. The page for Jack Stauber is far too long- I tried to remove most of the unnecessary information (frankly even my version might have a bit too much) but it was flagged as vandalism since I was removing so much. I'm not too familiar with how editing Wikipedia works, so I'll paste the source text for my edit here- hopefully that works fine. Jack Stauber (born April 6, 1996)[2] is an American musician, animator, and YouTuber from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[2] In 2020, he won the Shorty Award for Best in Weird.[3]
Stauber first published on YouTube in 2013. He is known for his surreal style of music and visual art. In 2017, Stauber released "Buttercup" as part of his album Pop Food in 2017, becoming his most streamed song thanks to its popularity on the social media platform TikTok. Additionally, he has created two animated specials for Adult Swim, "Shop: A Pop Opera" in 2019 and "Jack Stauber's OPAL" in 2020.
