Windows Phone 8
Windows Phone 8 is the second release of Windows Phone. It was released publicly on October 29, 2012. It is similar to Windows 8. It is unsupported as of January 12, 2016. It can be upgraded to Windows Phone 8.1 to help updates security for unsupported Windows Phone 8, the first update was leaked on April 8, 2014. Microsoft released the final version, Update 3, on April 14, 2014, just six days after the Windows XP's end of support.

On June 20, 2010, Microsoft revealed the new Windows Phone 8 (codenamed Apollo). It is the first for Windows Phone from Microsoft and it is released after 2012, Windows Phone 8 was changed by Windows CE, after the first release for Windows Phone 7. Windows Phone 8 was based for Windows Phone 7, the successor is Windows Phone 8.1 after released in 2014. There are two supported platforms in Windows Phone 8.

Update 2 for Windows Phone 8 was released on November 12, 2012. The first update was developed for Microsoft, in the start menu can launch to Action Center, the battery can change just similar Action Center, on November 3, 2012. Microsoft release update 2 beta for Windows Phone 8.
Update 3 for Windows Phone 8 was released on April 14, 2014. The update was developed for Microsoft, in supported platforms x86 IE, after released the first for Windows Phone Blue (codename for Windows Phone 8.1), start screen has updated in the new OneNote.

On January 12, 2016. Microsoft reached the final update for Windows Phone 8. Microsoft has no security update for Windows Phone 8, ended services. Microsoft announced a successor to Windows Phone 8 is Windows Phone 8.1.
Cortana was removed from Windows Phone 8 and can only be used in Windows Phone 8.1. SkyDrive (now known as OneDrive) was removed, and was added to the Internet Explorer app. The Windows Phone 8 has no settings updates, and file history was removed.
