Howell County, Missouri

Howell County is a county in the U.S. state of Missouri. As of 2020, 39,750 people lived there.[1] Its county seat is West Plains. Howell County was organized on March 2, 1857, from Oregon County. It was named for James Howell, who made the first settlement in Howell Valley.
