It is not possible to display an image on Wikipedia from your computer (as you tried to do) without uploading it first. On the Simple English Wikipedia, this must be uploaded on commons:Commons:Upload. Content there must be freely licensed (free to use, copy, and change without permission, royalties, etc.), and you need to create an account there.
