1943 Ashford by-election
UK Parliamentary by-election
The 1943 Ashford by-election happened on 10 February 1943. The by-election happened because the current MP, Patrick Spens was made Chief Justice of India. Conservative candidate Edward Percy Smith won the election. Percy Smith won with 69.7% of the vote.[1]
