A Cruel Romance (Russian: Жестокий романс) is a 1984 Russian romantic drama movie directed by Eldar Ryazanov and is the second adaption of the 1878 play Without a Dowry by Alexander Ostrovsky. It stars Andrey Myagkov, Larisa Guzeyeva, Nikita Mikhalkov, Alisa Freindlich and distributed by Mosfilm.
