Abdullah Ahmad
Malaysian journalist and politician (1937–2016)
Tan Sri Abdullah bin Ahmad (4 July 1933 – 12 June 2016) was a Malaysian journalist and politician under the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO). He attended Sultan Ismail College in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, and served as the editor-in-chief of the New Straits Times. Abdullah Ahmad held notable influence during the administrations of Abdul Razak Hussein and Mahathir Mohamad.
Ahmad died on 12 June 2016, after fighting cancer. He was 82 years old.[1][2] His body was taken back to his hometown in Kok Lanas, Kelantan.[3]
