LGBT community

The African-American LGBT community, otherwise referred to as the Black LGBT community, is part of the overall LGBT culture and overall African-American culture. LGBT African Americans experience discrimination from both their race and sexuality/LGBT background.[1] African Americans are more likely to identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender than any other racial and ethnic group in the country.[2] 1.2 million blacks belong to the LGBT community.[3]
