2000 plane crash of an Air France Concorde in Paris

Air France Flight 4590 was a tragic event that happened on July 25, 2000. It was a Concorde flight operated by Air France. The flight was supposed to go from Paris to New York City. But shortly after takeoff, the airplane crashed into a hotel in a suburb of Paris in Gonesse.The crash was caused by a piece of metal on the runway from a DC-10 that punctured one of the airplane's fuel tanks. This led to a fire, and the airplane lost power in its engines. It couldn't fly properly and crashed. All 109 people on board the airplane and 4 people on the ground died in the crash.This accident led to the temporary grounding of the Concorde fleet and changes in how the airplane was operated.
