Aktobe Region
region in the European part of Kazakhstan
Aktobe Region (kaz. the Aqtobe Oblysy) is one of the provinces (or regions) in the Western part of Kazakhstan. It's the second biggest oblys in Kazakhstan, by being 300 629 km² (which is 11% of the whole country's area). The population consists of 895.1 thousands (1 Jan of 2020). There are eight cities in this region: Aktobe, Alga, Embi, Kandyagash, Khromtau, Shalkar, Temir, and Zhem.
