Armenian film director (1937-2018)
Albert Mkrtchyan (Armenian: Ալբերտ Մկրտչյան, February 27, 1937 – February 28, 2018); Armenian movie director, screenwriter, and actor. He was honored with the People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia (2003).[1] He was born in Gyumri, Soviet Union. His best known works are The Tango of Our Childhood, Tghamardik and The Song of the Old Days.

Mkrtchyan died on February 28, 2018 in Yerevan, Armenia, one day after his 81st birthday.[2]
