Alex Janvier

Alex Simeon Janvier (February 28, 1935 – July 10, 2024) was an aboriginal artist from Canada.^[1] He was often called the "first Canadian aboriginal modernist".^[1]^[2] He was of Denesuline and Saulteaux descent.^[1]

Janvier died on July 10, 2024 at the age of 89.^[3]
