Alfred Eick

German navy officer and world war II U-boat commander (1916-2015)

Alfred Eick (9 March 1916 – 12 April 2015) was a German U-boat commander for Nazi Germany during World War II. He commanded the attacks on at least eleven ships between 1943 and 1945. He was given the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.

Eick was born in Essen, Rhine Province, then-German Empire. He was also an accountant.

Eick died on 12 April 2015 in Bielefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia, aged 99.[1]
