This frog lives in Amazonas, not very high above sea level. It lives in forests that have never been cut down and in forests that are growing back.[1]

The place where the frog lives has many protected parks in it. Scientists have seen the frog in one of them: Reserva Extrativista do Baixo Juruá.[1]

The female frog lays eggs on the ground. After the eggs hatch, the adult frogs carry the tadpoles to water.[1]

Danger

change

Scientists say this frog is not in danger of dying out. Human beings do cut down trees to get wood to build with. Fires are also dangerous for this frog.[1]
