Alnmouth

Alnmouth (/ˈæl(ə)nmaʊθ/) is a village on the coast of Northumberland, England. It is 4 miles (6 km) south east of the town of Alnwick. The population of Alnmouth in 2001 was 562. However at the 2011 census the population was less at 445.[1] Alnmouth is at the end of the River Aln (the mouth). The village had a port supporting a small fishing industry. Fishing and trade decreased at the end of the 19th century. Alnmouth is a now a tourist attraction. It is within the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
