American Consumer Opinion

American Consumer Opinion® is a worldwide online panel based out of Arlington, TX with millions of current members testing new advertising, evaluating new products, participating in focus groups and taking surveys. American Consumer Opinion® was one of the first online survey platforms that now reaches millions of consumers in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia and offers surveys in 11 languages including English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Over the past three decades, American Consumer Opinion® has been at the forefront of technology and transitioned this panel from Mail to Phone (1980’s), Phone to Web (1990’s) and most recently to their mobile platform (2010’s). American Consumer Opinion® has awarded over $30 million in cash payments to their members and they have had over 20 million survey completions to date.

History

1986 – The American Consumer Opinion® mail panel was launched in early 1986.
1996 – The American Consumer Opinion® panel was converted to an online survey panel, and started accepting members worldwide. This panel was used for online surveys and product testing.
1998 – 200,000 U.S. members in American Consumer Opinion.
1999 – 750,000 members globally
1999 – Three additional online panels were added: the Technology Advisory Board®, the Physicians Advisory Council®, and the Contractor Advisory Board®.
2000 – The Executive Advisory Board® was added
2001 – American Consumer Opinion Online. Over 3.5 million consumers in their worldwide Internet panel for online surveys.
2002 – Imaginators® was added
2003 – The Medical Advisory Board® was added
2015 – Symmetric was launched as a division of Decision Analyst
2018 – The American Consumer Opinion® panel created its mobile survey platform.
2022 – The American Consumer Opinion® panel was ranked #5 on Survey Police's "Top Survey Sites of 2022"
2023 – The American Consumer Opinion® panel was ranked #3 on Survey Police's "Top Survey Sites of 2023"
