United States organization of psychiatrists

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) is a group of psychiatrists in the United States. The group is responsible for writing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, which is used to diagnose mental illnesses. It has about 36,000 members. Its members are from USA and other countries in the world.[1] The APA was founded in 1844.
