"Animal I Have Become" is the first single off of Canadian rock band Three Days Grace's second studio album One-X. The song was released on April 10, 2006.

The song was able to make it to #1 on the Alternative Airplay, #1 on the Mainstream Rock, #3 on the Canada Rock, #60 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #60 on the Pop 100 charts.[1][2][3][4] The song was certified 2× Platinum by both Music Canada and the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[5][6] The song won Rock Single of the Year at the 2006 Billboard Music Awards. It was also nominated for Modern Rock Single of the Year.[7][8]
Vocalist Adam Gontier said that he wrote the song when he was in a rehab facility. He wrote the song about his addiction to OxyContin and the way that he acted and treated people when he was under the influence of drugs.[9]
A music video for the song was released. It was directed by Dean Karr. In the video, the band plays in a room full of mirrors. A man wakes up and sits in a trashed room. He lies in bed while a demon version of himself holds him down. He leaves the apartment and walks down the street, seeing the demon version staring back at him when he sees his reflection. He bumps into people as he walks. The man enters a social gathering and goes to the bar, meeting a woman and seeing that she is also a demon. He gets angry and destroys the room. The man wakes up in the destroyed room again.
The song along with "Riot" appear on the soundtrack to the video game WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007.
