Anne van den Ban

Anne Willem van den Ban (28 February 1928 — 7 May 2016) was a Dutch scholar. His work is on Agricultural Extension. He was born in Leeuwarderadeel. He taught on how innovations can help farmers produce more crops. He helped create many new ways for farmers to produce crops in The Netherlands.

Van den Ban in 2008

Van den Ban was an adviser to the Executive Council of the International Society for Extension Education (INSEE).[1] He received a Life Time Achievement Award in September 2008 for his "outstanding contribution in the field of Extension Education, Agricultural Development and Rural Development".[2] from this organization

Van den Ban died at the age of 88 on 7 May 2016 in Wageningen.[3]
