Anthony Pilla

Anthony Michael Pilla (November 12, 1932 – September 21, 2021) was an American bishop. He was a bishop of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States. He was auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Cleveland from 1979 to 1980 and Bishop of Cleveland from 1980 to 2006. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio.[1]

From 1995 to 1998, he was President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. He died on September 21, 2021 at the age of 88.[2]
