The arrondissement of Figeac is an arrondissement of France. It is part of the Lot département in the Occitanie region. Its capital is the city of Figeac.

When the arrondissements were created on 17 February 1800, Figeac was one of them in the Lot department.[2]

Geography

It is the easternmost of the arrondissements of the department, with an area of 1,550.3 km2 (599 sq mi),[3] the second largest in area of the department. It has a population of 54,060 inhabitants and a population density of 34.9 inhabitants/km².[4]

The arrondissement is bordered to the north by the Corrèze (Nouvelle-Aquitaine) department, to the west by the Cantal (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) department, to the south by the Aveyron (Occitanie) department, to the southwest by the arrondissement of Cahors, and to the west by the arrondissement of Gourdon.
