Aspidogaster conchicola is a parasitic, invertebrate worm distributed across North America, Africa, and Europe. As a parasite, A. conchicola relies on a host species, usually snails, fish, mollusks, or turtles. [1] The parasite can live without a host in freshwater for up to two weeks, and in saline water for up to five weeks. It's natural habitats include lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams. [1]
