Assist (ice hockey)
a pass to a player who scores a goal as a result of the pass in ice hockey
In ice hockey, an assist is when up to two players of the scoring team shoots, passes or sends the puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which made the goal. This usually means that they "assisted" in the goal. At most, there can only be 2 assists for each goal.
